Confessions of Stock Market Wizards | Biggest Learnings from Public Market Investing | The India Opportunity: Safir Anand ft Shrishti Sahu
Hello everyone, welcome to The India Opportunity Show where you get a front-row seat to people building India’s future. We talk about unlocking the potential of the country with founders, investors, creators, and successful leaders from different fields to bring you real-life stories and behind-the-scenes of what it takes to be at the forefront of building the India Story.
Episode 1, Season 2 of The India Opportunity Show is out now! You can watch it on YouTube or listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
Before we start, a note from Shrishti:
Dear Subscribers, I hope you have had a fantastic start to the new year. I’m excited to present the new avatar of The India Opportunity Show to you! What started just 8 months ago as a side hustle is now evolving into a full-time show with in-person recordings to make the viewing experience even more special for all you members of our thriving community. I had not expected this kind of love, appreciation, and response to the podcast but with your kindness & generosity, I am excited to set out on this new path.
As a creator you always have the choice, of going for ‘clickbaity’ over ‘quality’, however, I’ve chosen the harder and longer route. Every story you hear on the show will be a story of grit, resilience and valuable insights. This year, we bring to you iconic stalwarts from the investing world as well as promoters and founders of large businesses from the private and public markets. My intention for each episode is to share deep and meaningful insights for everyone watching, in the hope of enriching your life in different ways. The core theme that emerged from the last year is ‘capital allocation’ and we hope that this series enables you to be a better capital allocator.
Today, I’m thrilled to have an iconic guest with me - Safir Anand - who’s not only India’s most renowned IP Lawyer but also a prolific public markets investor. He has helped many iconic luxury brands as well as fashion designers unlock the true value of their intellectual property, transforming how businesses grow and scale. Safir is also a published author and is releasing a new book called Confessions of Stock Market Wizards where he’s interviewed stalwarts from the investing world including some guests who I’ve had the privilege of hosting on our show including Ramesh Damani, Samir Arora, Devina Mehra and others.
For anyone watching, this will be a masterclass in understanding business models, identifying and investing in multi-baggers, and first principles thinking. Hope you enjoy watching!
