Nothing teaches you how to scale better than a platform that is building for 3Billion people i.e. Facebook. My role at FB involved working very closely with the Product & Engg teams at FB which is how I was able to understand building for scale. Lumis Partners helped me see the growth of their portfolio companies, map their journeys & roadmap for 3-5 years hence, which was a great learning experience too to understand both from scaling & investing perspective. Still why does the Lumis experience sound richer than the other to me? Probably because I am assuming that you've seen products rise from a more nascent stage than fb where it had already did the initial scaling. I might be wrong. Educate me, if so. :)
